The gap between the alert and the cause
Most monitoring tells you that something is down. Then you SSH in and start guessing. The expensive minutes are the ones between the page and the moment you finally know why.
State the cause, in plain language
GoodPinger correlates an outside-in probe with an optional in-server agent, then states the cause — "nginx exited: could not bind :443" — with the error lines that produced it. That diagnosis is the product.
What it isn't
Not a log platform, not an APM suite, not another wall of dashboards. One promise: when something breaks, you get the cause, not just the fact.
Open and honest
The agent is open source, the pricing is public, and the diagnosis never overclaims — "likely the network" when confidence is low, "the service died" only when we saw it die.
